  Guilty Fast Food Pleasures

  okay, what is the one fast food that you just love, but are a little ashamed to admit to?.

  a detective character (sue grafton's kinsey milhone) in some mysteries i read has these guilty fast food pleasures.

  just about every day she runs for miles on the beach, but then she is invariably ends up ducking into the mcdonald's drive thru with her little vw and scarfing a big mac or quarter pounder.

  Stainless Steel Refrigerators

  i'm shopping for a new refrigerator and wanted to get your opinions on stainless steel appliances.

  i love the look of them - but i've heard it is difficult to keep them looking nice because of fingerprints, etc.. .

  i've seen some other finishes that look like stainless steel - they have a sateen coating that doesn't smudge and streak like stainless.

  Thanks for the great information everyone.

  What do you all think about having a stainless refrigerator with all other appliances white? I'm not ready to buy all new appliances, and if I don't bite the bullet, I'll never change over to stainless . . . if that's the direction I decide to go.

  CodeBlue, what do you think about the quality of the Frigidaire? How long have you had it? I was looking at some of those.

  Mulan, I hear you about the hot, current color - I hope stainless doesn't go the way of avocado! By the way, the sales lady at Sears told me to NEVER clean stainless steel with Windex. . . something about it ruining the surface?

  I'm shopping for a new refrigerator and wanted to get your opinions on stainless steel appliances. I love the look of them - but I've heard it is difficult to keep them looking nice because of fingerprints, etc.

  I've seen some other finishes that look like stainless steel - they have a sateen coating that doesn't smudge and streak like stainless. But, this type of finish isn't available for heated appliances (microwaves, ovens, dishwashers), so then you don't have a perfect match among your appliances.

  I'm thinking of just sticking with white. . . any suggestions?

  Anyone want to give a review of their refrigerator? I'm looking at Whirlpool.

  Sorry, had to come back to talk about my absolute favorite. . . Philly Cheese Steaks!

  The best place to get them in my opinion (and I've tried them everywhere, including Philadelphia) is the Cheese Steak Shop:

  Add mushrooms, grilled onions, hot and sweet peppers . . . mmmmm

  Swan, and they are a perfect cure for a hangover!

  Remember those muff'n'eggs at the assemblies? They were gross! First of all, they were so hot, people were burning themselves. And the ham would get all sweaty with a slimy coating. . . yumm!

  • yummy, crispy hashbrowns

  Any advice on tattoos?

  i've been faded for almost four years now.

  i've decided in the last month or so that i would really like to treat myself to a small tattoo.

  i'm going the conservative route and plan on getting it on my lower back - so it can be seen when i want it to be, but also easily hidden when necessary .

  I would rather be a part of my art then worry what that art will look like when the inevitable happens. Kind of like the artist who leaves his best work in a hermiticaly sealed vault and then he dies. No one ever gets the benefit of his form of self expression, because of the fear of what is bound to happen anyway.

  I love animals - especially cats. I've been told by several friends that I let my cats "walk all over me". I was thinking a couple of cute, small paw prints on my lower back might be interesting . . .and significant.

  I would suggest starting with the first novel of the series, Post Mortem.

  "A serial killer is on the loose in Richmond, Virginia. Three women have died, brutalized and strangled in their own bedrooms. There is no pattern: the killer appears to strike at random?but always early on Saturday mornings.

  So when Dr Kay Scarpetta, chief medical examiner, is awakened at 2:33 a.m., she knows the news is bad: there is a fourth victim, and she fears now for those that will follow unless she can dig up new forensic evidence to aid the police.

  But not everyone is pleased to see a woman in this powerful job. Someone may even want to ruin her career and reputation...
